How to Recycle in Liverpool

Liverpool City

We know that sometimes recycling can just get way too confusing. We’re here to make it simple. Whether you’re recycling on a small or large scale, we can help you make it simple. Whenever you’re stuck on what waste to put in which bin or what to do when you just have too much waste, refer back to this post.

Everyday Recycling

For your everyday recycling needs, we all know there are different colour bins that require different types of waste. Sometimes it can get confusing what waste goes in what colour, so we thought we’d help you out. Below is a simplified guide of what goes into each bin. This will keep you responsibly recycling, like we do here at Reliable Skip Hire Liverpool.

Liverpool's Purple Bins

Purple Bin

These bins are for your normal everyday household waste that aren’t eligible for recycling. You can also put food waste, including pet food waste, in these bins if needed. However, these bins do not accept any electrical items.

Liverpool's Green Bins

Green Bin

These are for all your garden waste such as grass cuttings, twigs, cut flowers etc. However, you can’t put any soil, concrete, metal, or purple bin waste in these bins.

Liverpool's Blue Bins

Blue Bin

Your blue bin is your recycling bin. You can leave any materials in here that can be recycled such as glass, cans, paper, cardboard, plastic, and some more! They will not take any non-recyclable goods such as food, some plastics, metal, electrical goods, etc.

What to do When You’ve got too Much Waste?

Now we know that not all waste can fit into three bins, and that’s where we come in. When you’re starting projects that are a bit larger than every day, why not hire a skip through us! We have a wide range of skips sizes that can suit any size of waste that you may need to get rid of. Whether you’re wanting to do a spring clean and renovate the house, landscape the garden, or have a much larger, commercial-sized project we have a skip for you.

The best part about it? We do the recycling for you! So if you don’t want to deal with the hassle of separating your rubbish whilst completing your project, let us do the work for you. There are, however, still some crucial waste restrictions to ensure everyone’s safety so make sure you read them through before putting your waste in one script
